Engine 1.5 von Denon DJ wurde kürzlich über Facebook mit ersten offiziellen Informationen versorgt. Ich bin mir sicher das viele DJs die bislang mit den SC3900 und SC2900 spielen sich darüber freuen, denn auch diese Player werden weiterhin unterstützt. Ich denke es ist ein wichtiger Aspekt das auch die älteren Geräte von der neuen Software unterstützt werden. Als “i-Tüpfelchen” kann Engine 1.5 auch die Cue Punkte lesen welche man bereits mit Serato DJ gesetzt hat und im Tag der Musikdatei geschrieben sind. Der Um- oder Einstig in die Software von Denon DJ wird Dir so ein wenig einfacher gemacht. Die Engine 1.5 Software wird zudem erstmals in einem Stand-Alone System dem MCX8000 eingesetzt, dieser kann dann ganz ohne Computer bedient werden und liest die Musik vom USB Sticks oder einer Festplatte, kann aber aber auch bei Bedarf als Serato Controller fungieren.

Engine 1.5 is a desktop software utility for managing music files used with Denon DJ media players. It’s been updated and optimized for use with the MCX8000, but Engine supports all legacy Denon DJ Media Players. Engine supports both Mac and Windows operating systems. Equipped with a database creation function, it has the ability to import Serato DJ crates directly. Overall, whether you are familiar with Engine software or you’re new to it, you can rest assured this a well-built ecosystem that organizes your music efficiently.
Create an Engine Library
Create a database on your computer to manage all your music files within the Engine utility software. You can add music files stored on your computer from your hard drive and external USB memory.
Analyze your entire music library (including large libraries) to read bpm, time and key signatures. Create playlists and crates within the Engine utility software to prepare for your sets. Cue points and loop points can be set in the software as well.
Drop your music onto your flash drive [Engine Target]:
Once you have analyzed and set your cue points in your crates/playlists, you can easily drop your lists directly onto your flash drive. Plug your flash drive into the MCX8000 and rock out!
